Hi everyone, we have our regular monthly meeting on Saturday, October 1st at the Broadmoor Library from 10 am to noon. There’s been a bit of reorganization to the club post-pandemic, and we look forward to seeing you all there! Write on!

Shreveport Writers Club September Meeting
Due to the Labor Day Weekend, our meeting is being moved to September 10th.
Come and be a part of a casual setting of local writers at the Broadmoor Branch Library. The event will take place 10am-12pm.

August Meetings
This Saturday, we will be meeting in Study Room A at Shreve Memorial Library Broadmoor Branch. It will be from 10am-12pm. We will be holding a discussion on the possibility of a halloween/fall potluck in October. This will include sharing halloween/fall related writings.
On August 20, we will have our Critique Meeting in the same library and study room. This will be from 10am-12pm.

Casual Critique
Come join us 10am-12pm at Broadmoor Branch Library this Saturday with your work as we hold discussions on critiques. You can bring samples of your work and discuss what you would like help with.
This is a casual get together. Even if you do not have any work you want to bring, it is still community building to help other writers.

A Great HOSTS
I’m proud of the Shreveport Writers Club members that did readings today at HOSTS. We had a great time also watching the dancers from The Gems Dance Company and we were immersed with art from Kalandra Kyelle Jones and Adam King . We also appreciate the members that came out in support. Thank you!!

Highland Open Stuio Tour Sundays Event Needs Participants
The HOSTS event is this Sunday and we are still looking for members who want to be able to sell their books at the vending table and/or share their work through reading. June Meeting
We will be meeting at the Broadmoor Branch Library on June 4th from 10am-12pm.
We will discuss the HOSTS event on June 12th.
Bring any work you would like to have a simple and short critique on during our round robin.
If you would like to share a small piece or excerpt without a critique, that is fine as well.
You do not have to bring in writing to be a part of the meeting. Having fellowship with fellow writers or those interested is our goal.

LGBTQ+ Health and Resource Fair
This April 30th, we will have a table at the local lgbtq+ health and beauty fair at Urgent EMS.
We will hand out club fliers and have a sign up sheet for anyone interested in getting club updates.
We will set up at 9:30. The fair starts at 11am.
Anyone is welcome to come by to help set up the tent, table, and chairs, and check out the other resources the fair has to offer.
